Flying Iron Strength was started in 2021 by Miles Michel. Being a child in a bicycling family and later a Marine, Miles was always an active person. But it wasn’t until he got married and had to move a large piece of furniture with his wife that she realized he needed to work on his strength too. The "invitation" was made to train with her and her trainer. Soon thrown into a world of barbells, kettlebells and all things heavy, he picked them up with enthusiasm.

He's held numerous certifications including the StrongFirst SFG I, Pain Free Performance Specialist, and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. 


Miles’ passion is introducing people to kettlebells and barbells safely, seeing strength and endurance improve, and people interacting with their environment in a better way. He started Flying Iron Strength so he could help others learn proper lifting mechanics while getting them excited about fitness.
